Last month, we launched the Chattanooga Music Census — a citywide survey that will help us better support and understand the needs of our growing local music community.

As Mayor and a longtime musician myself, I’m passionate about making the fabric of our local music culture stronger and more colorful. But to do this, we really need to get down into the nooks and crannies and corners of the community to really understand the breadth and depth of our music community and our musical DNA — which is really remarkable and unique, ranging from hiphop to bluegrass.

That’s why the Chattanooga Music Census is so important. The results of this survey will allow us to hear directly from our local musicians about what they need to grow and thrive.  

The survey closes on Friday, November 11, and we still need to hear from more of our music community. If you’re a musician, producer, venue owner, or are involved in any way in Chattanooga’s music ecosystem, please take the survey today at ChattanoogaMusicCensus.org.
