SESSION 1: So You Want to Start a Business — Creating a business starts with a great idea, but it doesn’t end there. There’s so much more to know and so many more things to do. Gary Robinson, SCORE District Director for the state of Tennessee, will go through a series of questions to which you’ll need to know the answers, as well as steps you’ll need to take to take your idea to the next step.
SESSION 2: Funding for Your Business — There are various types of capital that business owners can use to fund their businesses. Two of the most common are debt and equity. This presentation will explain the difference between debt and equity, highlight resources that provide them and explain how you should prepare before seeking funding for your business.
SESSION 3: Informational Roundtable — You will have the opportunity to interact with subject matter experts from the Small Business Administration, Veterans Business Outreach Center, Small Business Development Center and other Veteran small business owners. Bring your questions, get answers!
SESSION 4: Gain key insights on Strategic Planning and Business Plans — We’ll discuss how you can turn those ideas into your mission and purpose, provide tools that will effectively organize your strategy and planning to focus and achieve your business goals.
